HG Performance CLA250 Track Spec

The Brief

Built for the Track. Engineered for Performance.

To prepare this vehicle for the racetrack, HG Performance began by building a suspension and braking setup capable of handling the demands of serious performance driving.

The goal was to create a more capable, track-focused vehicle while maintaining the performance, functionality, and distinctive character required for street use.

What We Did

The first stage of the build focused on the suspension. We installed KW Variant 3 suspension at all four corners, and were fortunate enough to receive the first U.S.-spec set for the vehicle directly from KW Germany.

With the suspension upgraded, we turned our attention to the factory braking system. The undersized stock rotors and calipers were replaced with a Brembo Gran Turismo 6-Piston Monoblock and 2-Piece Drilled Rotor front kit.

The larger Brembo brake system created a clearance issue with the factory wheel offset, requiring spacers for proper fitment. We ultimately replaced the stock wheels with a set of HRE Flowforms, wrapped in Toyo Tires, creating a combination designed to provide the fitment, grip, and braking capability needed for track use.

With the vehicle lowered and its braking performance significantly improved, we turned our attention to the exhaust system. The factory exhaust note was relatively quiet and lacked the aggressive character we wanted from a track-focused build.

Our in-house fabricators designed and hand-built a custom exhaust system, adding a unique one-off titanium exhaust tip to complete the system with a distinctive appearance and sound.

Inside the cabin, we continued the performance-focused transformation with Recaro Sportster CS seats featuring an “HG Performance plaid” inlay by Autobahn Interiors.

Because the vehicle was also being prepared for track use, we added a 4-point bolt-in roll bar, further enhancing the motorsport-inspired character of the interior.

To complete the exterior transformation, we took the vehicle to Modern Image for professional tinting and a custom wrap featuring our HG Performance digital camouflage design.

The wrap also showcased the sponsor vendors and brands that helped bring the build together, including HRE Wheels, Recaro, Brembo, Toyo Tires, Motul, Chapparone Auto Body, and Modern Image.

The Result

The completed vehicle combines track-focused suspension, upgraded braking, performance wheels and tires, custom exhaust fabrication, and a motorsport-inspired interior into one cohesive HG Performance build.

The KW Variant 3 suspension provides a more purposeful chassis foundation, while the Brembo Gran Turismo braking system delivers the upgraded stopping hardware required for serious performance driving.

The HRE Flowform wheels and Toyo Tires complete the wheel and tire package, providing the fitment and grip needed to complement the upgraded suspension and brakes.

The hand-built exhaust gives the vehicle a more aggressive sound and distinctive appearance, highlighted by its one-off titanium tip. Inside, the Recaro Sportster CS seats, HG Performance plaid detailing, and 4-point roll bar complete the track-inspired cabin.

Finally, the HG Performance digital camouflage wrap gives the vehicle an unmistakable visual identity while showcasing the brands and partners involved in the project.

The result is a vehicle designed to look just as comfortable on the street as it does at the racetrack—with the suspension, braking, wheels, tires, exhaust, and interior all working together as part of a complete performance build.
