HG Performance took part in the Special Ops Survivors Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Del Mar Country Club . Special Ops Survivors is the only non-profit organization exclusively dedicated to serving surviving spouses of U.S. Special Operations personnel who have died in combat or training since September 11, 2001.
This year we had fantastic weather. The harsh winds and pouring rain from last year were nowhere to be found allowing for 18 holes under the beautiful Southern California sunshine. The course had nice dry greens with a cool westerly breeze. Although we did not take the win, our 3rd place finish qualified us for the Randy Jones Invitational.
This organization holds a special place in our hearts because our brother, teammate, and friend Chief Petty Officer Christian Michael Pike, 31, died March 13, 2013 in Landstuhl, Germany, as a result of combat-related injuries sustained on March 10 while conducting stability operations in Maiwand District, Afghanistan.
We want to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Pickens for allowing the this wonderful tournament.
